During this 4-day private Bale Mountains adventure, the customer will enjoy an exciting combination of wildlife viewing, birdwatching, scenic drives, and guided nature walks. The journey begins with a flight from Addis Ababa to Bale, followed by an afternoon excursion to Dinsho, where they can search for Bale monkeys, olive baboons, mountain nyalas, giant mole rats, warthogs, and endemic Ethiopian birds. The following day, they will explore the spectacular Sanetti Plateau and Tulu Dimtu, enjoying the unique Afro-alpine landscape and looking for the endangered Ethiopian wolf and highland bird species. they will venture into the beautiful Harenna Forest for guided trekking and wildlife observation, with opportunities to see Bale monkeys, giant mole rats, Bohor reedbuck, spotted hyenas, African golden wolves, and rock hyraxes. The tour concludes with breakfast, a flight back to Addis Ababa, and the end of the adventure.

Fly Addis Ababa to Bale

Fly from Addis Ababa to Bale, followed by a 350 km drive to Bale Town, which sits at an altitude of approximately 2,100 meters above sea level. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy lunch before departing for an afternoon excursion to Dinsho, the headquarters of Bale Mountains National Park. During your visit, look for Bale monkeys, olive baboons, giant mole rats, warthogs, mountain nyalas, and a variety of endemic Ethiopian birds, including the Abyssinian catbird, Rouget's rail, Wattled ibis, Black-winged lovebird, and Abyssinian woodpecker. At 5:00 PM, drive back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay Nurobe Hotel.
