Arrival in Tanzania – Arusha

📍 Arusha – Mount Meru Hotel

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed by your Kiwia Africa Tours representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. After checking in, take some time to relax after your journey. In the evening, meet your safari guide for a briefing about the adventure ahead, including the national parks, wildlife and daily activities. Enjoy dinner at the hotel and rest overnight in preparation for your safari.

Arusha → Tarangire National Park

📍 Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees and beautiful African landscapes. Spend the day exploring the park with your experienced safari guide. Look out for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and a variety of bird species. You may also encounter lions and other predators resting in the shade or moving through the grasslands. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon game drive. Later, leave Tarangire and drive to your lodge in the Karatu area, where you will have dinner and spend the night at Farm of Dreams Lodge

Karatu - Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. The crater is home to a remarkable variety of wildlife, making it one of the highlights of a northern Tanzania safari. Search for lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, hippos and hyenas. With luck, you may also spot the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site while surrounded by the natural beauty of the crater. Continue exploring with your guide before returning to Farm of Dreams Lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart Karatu and travel through the beautiful Ngorongoro highlands towards Serengeti National Park. As you approach the Serengeti, the landscape opens into vast grasslands dotted with acacia trees. Along the way, enjoy opportunities to observe wildlife and take photographs. Upon entering the park, begin your Serengeti safari with game viewing en route to your tented camp. The park is famous for its large herds of wildebeest and zebras, as well as lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants and many other animals. Arrive at Kontiki Serengeti camp, settle in and enjoy dinner before spending your first night in the Serengeti.

The early morning can be a rewarding time to look for predators. You may see lions resting after a night of hunting, leopards in trees or cheetahs searching for prey across the open grasslands. Continue exploring throughout the day, with opportunities to encounter elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, antelopes and large herds of plains animals. Depending on the season, your guide may focus on areas where the wildebeest migration is passing. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the safari before continuing your afternoon game drive. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Your guide will plan the day's game drives according to recent wildlife sightings, animal movements and road conditions. Continue searching for lions, leopards, elephants and buffaloes while enjoying the beautiful scenery and unforgettable atmosphere of the African wilderness. The Serengeti is also famous for its seasonal wildebeest migration, when enormous herds move across the ecosystem in search of fresh grazing. What you see will depend on the time of year and the location of the herds. After a rewarding day in the park, return to your tented camp for dinner and your final night in the Serengeti.

Fly from Serengeti to Zanzibar

You may also choose to visit a spice farm to learn about Zanzibar's long-standing spice-growing traditions. After your excursion, return to Nungwi and enjoy your final evening on the island. Relax at the beach, enjoy a meal at a local restaurant or spend some quiet time at your hotel. Overnight at your beach hotel.
