Join Kiwia Africa Tours for a 7-day Mount Kilimanjaro adventure via the Machame Route, one of Tanzania's most scenic trekking routes. The journey passes through lush rainforest, moorland, volcanic landscapes and the high alpine zone before reaching Uhuru Peak at 5,895 m.
The itinerary is designed with gradual altitude gain and includes overnight stays at mountain camps. The summit attempt begins early on the final trekking day, followed by descent to Mweka Camp and then Mweka Gate.
An experienced mountain guide and support crew accompany you throughout the trek, providing guidance, meals and camp support as you progress toward the summit.

  • Info: The trek takes place at high altitude and weather conditions can change quickly. The itinerary may be adjusted by the mountain guide when necessary for safety. Summit success depends on individual fitness, acclimatization, weather and mountain conditions. Participants should arrive in Tanzania well rested and properly equipped.
  • Requirements: Good physical fitness is required. Participants should be comfortable hiking for several hours each day. Proper hiking boots and suitable cold-weather clothing are required. Participants must follow the instructions of the mountain guide and park authorities. Travel insurance covering trekking at high altitude is strongly recommended.
  • Accessibility: This activity involves steep, uneven and rocky mountain terrain and is not suitable for travelers with significant mobility limitations.

Machame Gate β†’ Machame Camp

After breakfast, drive from Moshi to Machame Gate. Complete registration and meet your mountain crew before beginning the trek. The trail enters the lush rainforest, where you may see tropical vegetation and birdlife. Continue steadily uphill to Machame Camp, where dinner and your first mountain night await.
