- Info: The trek follows the Momella Route. Summit day starts very early, usually around midnight or shortly after. Hiking times may vary depending on weather, fitness and trail conditions. Wildlife may be encountered in the lower sections of the route; visitors must follow ranger instructions. The itinerary may be adjusted by the guide when necessary for safety.
- Requirements: Good physical fitness is recommended. Participants should be comfortable hiking for several hours at a time. Suitable hiking shoes and warm clothing are required. After breakfast, drive to Momella Gate in Arusha National Park. Complete registration and begin hiking through open grassland and montane forest, with opportunities to see wildlife. Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut

Continue uphill through forest and giant heather toward Saddle Hut. After settling in, take an optional acclimatization hike to Little Meru (3,820 m) before returning to Saddle Hut for an early dinner and rest. Altitude: 2,500 m → 3,570 m Accommodation: Saddle Hut Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Trekking: 3–4 hours + optional Little Meru hike

Wake around midnight and begin the summit climb. Ascend via Rhino Point and Cobra Point before reaching Socialist Peak around sunrise. After enjoying the summit views, descend to Saddle Hut, continue toward Miriakamba and finally reach Momella Gate, where your vehicle will transfer you back to Arusha.
