Itinerary

Addis Ababa – Awash National Park

After breakfast, you will check out from the hotel and drive approximately 250 kilometers, about 4 hours, to Awash National Park. Along the way, you will stop to observe the traditional camel caravans, where local people use camels to transport goods across the dry landscapes of the region. Upon arrival, you will check in at Doho lodge and enjoy lunch, and prepare for your afternoon safari adventure. During the safari, you will drive for about one hour into the park and take a short 20-minute trek to search for Beisa Oryx, Soemmerring’s Gazelle, Lesser and Greater Kudu, Salt’s Dik-dik, and Defassa Waterbuck before ending the day with a visit to the beautiful Awash Waterfall, known for its amazing landscapes, birds, and wildlife. Discover Alledeghi Wildlife Excursion

After breakfast, you will drive to the famous Alledeghi Wildlife Reserve for a full-day wildlife exploration. The reserve is home to many unique animals including Hamadryas Baboons, Olive Baboons, desert warthogs, hyenas, Nile crocodiles, and several smaller predators and canines. In the afternoon, you will return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the surrounding nature. Later in the day, you will continue your wildlife experience with another short 20-minute trek to observe additional wild animals and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Ethiopian savannah before overnighting Doho Lodge.

Awash – Addis Ababa Departure

8:30 AM – 2:30 PM (6.00h)

Early in the morning, you will enjoy breakfast before checking out from the hotel and driving back to Addis Ababa, a journey of approximately 4 hours. and up on arrival transfer you to your hotel and after that enjoy a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony and experience the warm hospitality and unique coffee traditions of Ethiopia. Following the ceremony, you will have free time to explore the city and shop for souvenirs, traditional handicrafts, spices, clothing, and other gifts. In the evening, enjoy a special farewell dinner at a traditional Ethiopian restaurant, accompanied by local cuisine, music, and cultural entertainment. After dinner, you will be transferred to Bole International Airport for your international flight, marking the end of your memorable Ethiopian journey.
