About this experience

Your program starts in the morning at 9:30 am with a visit to Jambiani fishing village south of the island. You will be picked from the hotel by our driver ready to explore Kuza Cave in Jambiani, East Coast Zanzibar. The cave is a 50 meter round sinkhole in the middle of a small jungle. Cross a small bridge and walk down a few stairs to enter an underground oasis. The circular shape of the cave is a result of over 250,000 years of rainwater eroding the limestone. A large natural rock sculpture in the shape of an elephant is used by locals as an altar. At the base of the cave, there is a crystal clear pool made from seepage from the underground water table. The fresh water is cold but refreshing! Red Colobus, Vervet, and Sykes Monkeys visit the cave every few days. Excellent photo opportunities.

Good Value for Money

Great tour at a fair price. The cave experience was worth it even if some aspects could be improved.

Okay for Cave Lovers

If you're into geology, you'll love this. Less impressive if you just want beach time.

Nice But Not Spectacular

It was a nice cave and swimming was cool, but overall it felt a bit more touristy than I expected.

Great Experience, Logistical Issues

The cave was worth it but pickups were slightly delayed. Once we got there, everything was perfect.
