Our Story
Mr Abdulla knows Zanzibar the way only a local can. After founding Cocos Nucifera Tours and Safaris and spending over five years working inside the tourism industry across Zanzibar and Tanzania mainland, he had seen every corner of the business — the beauty of it and the frustrations beneath the surface.
The frustration was always the same. Talented, dedicated operators across East Africa were being forced to depend on international platforms just to reach the travelers who wanted to find them. They would fulfil bookings, deliver incredible experiences, and then wait. Wait until the end of the month to receive money they had already earned. Cash flow was unpredictable, growth was hard, and the platforms they relied on were built for the world — not for the specific needs of East African operators.
Abdulla saw a clear opportunity. With his background in Business Information Technologies and years of first-hand experience in tourism, he began drafting TourVigator in 2024 — a platform built specifically for this region, by someone who understood it from the inside.
